"Their Majesties, Sven and Siobhan, King and Queen of Aethelmearc, request that the Honorable Lord Ishiyama Gen'tarou Yori'ie contemplate his elevation to the Noble Order of the Laurel at Pennsic War 47. Done this day at the Aethelmearc War Practice, May 19th A.S. 53."

Baron and Baroness' Choice Award, Ice Dragon A&S Pentathalon, A.S. 53

Illumination by Baron Caleb Reynolds.

I entered my green silk kariginu and orange silk sashinuki into the pentathalon as a kariginu kamishimo, and so impressed Magnus and Muriel, Baron and Baroness of the Rhydderich Hael, with my skill and craft that I was granted the right to claim to be their choise of the finest work of the arts and sciences.

Order of Copernicus

Illumination by Lady Isabel Fleuretan.
Calligraphy by Kameshima-kyou Zentarou Umakai

The Baron and Baroness of the Debatable Lands may make an individual whose service continues and is ever growing a Companion of the Order of Copernicus. I was completely blindsided by this induction at the Baronial court at Pennsic 44, on August 2, A.S. 50.

Ice Dragon A&S Pentathlon, A.S. 49 - Pentathlon Runner Up

Illumination by Baron Caleb Reynolds.

A full entry in the Ice Dragon Pent comprises entries in five different categories. Anonymous individual entries are judged and given numeic scroes based on their workmanship, complexity, aesthetics, documentation, authenticity, and creativity. The combined scores of all five entries yield a person's pentathlon score, and the highest scores for individuals, novice individuals, and groups each win a special overall prize. This was my first year with a full Pent slate, and I came in second!

Ice Dragon A&S Pentathlon, A.S. 48 - Fiber Arts, Other

Illumination by Baron Caleb Reynolds.

I had the best (and only) example of braided cord in the Pentathlon.

Baron's Choice Award, Ice Dragon A&S Pentathalon, A.S. 47 - Baron's Choice

I'm told that the illustration on this scroll represents the Baron's feet being held to the fire until he chooses among the many entries he admires.
