This is probably a ritual bath for the animal, preparatory to a blessing by a priest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/ee0r.com\/sca\/emaki\/chojugiga-deerwash-01.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ee0r.com\/sca\/emaki\/chojugiga-deerwash-01.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"240\"\/><\/a><figcaption><a href=\"https:\/\/ee0r.com\/sca\/emaki\/chojugiga-deerwash-01.png\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/ee0r.com\/sca\/emaki\/chojugiga-deerwash-01.png\">chojugiga-deerwash-01.png<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This first one is a traditional ink-only rendition in the <em>hakubyo<\/em> style of the original.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/ee0r.com\/sca\/emaki\/chojugiga-deerwash-02.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ee0r.com\/sca\/emaki\/chojugiga-deerwash-02.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"240\"\/><\/a><figcaption><a href=\"https:\/\/ee0r.com\/sca\/emaki\/chojugiga-deerwash-02.png\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/ee0r.com\/sca\/emaki\/chojugiga-deerwash-02.png\">chojugiga-deerwash-02.png<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This one I got a little ambitious with the color, I think. This is not as dark as the second one, but it&#8217;s maybe too light.
