{"id":785,"date":"2021-04-28T17:19:18","date_gmt":"2021-04-28T22:19:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ee0r.com\/blog-new\/?p=785"},"modified":"2021-04-28T17:19:18","modified_gmt":"2021-04-28T22:19:18","slug":"completed-tachi-kake","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ee0r.com\/blog-new\/completed-tachi-kake\/","title":{"rendered":"Completed Tachi Kake"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>I built this <a href=\"https:\/\/ee0r.com\/blog-new\/tachi-kake\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"588\">Tachi Kake<\/a> sword stand back in July, but I only got as far as putting a few coats of black finish on it before winter settled in. In early Spring of this year, I added embellishment to the Tachi Kake in the form of <em>karakusa<\/em> vinework in gold paint. I did all the painting by hand, because it is fun and I have started to get good at it. I then put several coats of clear shellac over the gold paint so that it will not rub off at the slightest touch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/ee0r.com\/proj\/images\/tachikake-embellished.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ee0r.com\/proj\/images\/tachikake-embellished.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"400\"\/><\/a><figcaption>Embellished Tachi Kake<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>I now have two pieces of furniture embellished with gold karakusa. There is this and the <a href=\"https:\/\/ee0r.com\/proj\/images\/kyousoku-finished.jpg\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/ee0r.com\/proj\/images\/kyousoku-finished.jpg\"><em>kyousoku<\/em> armrest<\/a> that I suppose I never formally posted about. One day I suppose I will have a full set of fancy gentleman&#8217;s accessories.
