This post is titled:
I'm job searching,
and I thought I'd post some types of interviews
I'd rather not waste my time on.
- Recruiters who don't have any jobs for me,
but have to look busy and choose to do so by interviewing people
whose resumes are out on the Internet.
- Companies who can't afford to hire a consultant,
so they interview people and ask them lots of leading
questions about what they'd do if they were supposed
to solve the problem.
- Companies who know their current employees are overloaded
and will quit if told they can't hire additional help, so they
allow interviews to happen and just find reasons not to hire
any of the applicants.
- Companies who require their employees to
submit to degrading rituals before they can be employed,
but who keep such bizarre requirements secret
until after an offer is made.
If you'd like me to be involved in any of these types of interviews,
please at least make an effort to make it worth my while.
A nice lunch is helpful.
