Kaminari Gate Project

I was asked to make a new gateway for Clan Yama Kaminari's encampment at Pennsic. I've been working for most of the last month on this project, but it's been an awesome experience.

The Gate Assembly Test

This past Sunday was the first time all the pieces were assembled. Before that, I'd done some tests of the sub-assmblies, but there was no way to stand it up without a bunch of people. This is the largest woodworking project I've ever done, and since I'm not really an architect or engineer, I wasn't even sure it would work until I saw it towering over me.
